The Shulker Architect
End City biome boss — a master engineer that builds a turret network and hides behind an impenetrable shell.
The Shulker Architect commands an army of stationary turrets, creating a bullet-hell siege. The boss itself is slow but tanky, deploying turrets for ranged cover and teleporting between them to avoid melee engagement. Dismantle the turret infrastructure or be overwhelmed by crossfire.
Abilities
- Bullet Storm: Fires 4 homing bullets in one turn. Each deals 3 damage and applies Levitation (target is moved 1 tile in a random direction at end of turn) for 1 turn.
- Deploy Turret: Spawns a stationary Shulker turret (6 HP, fires 1 bullet per turn at range 4, deals 2 damage). Maximum 3 active turrets.
- Fortify Shell: Reactive — when damaged, closes its shell for 80% damage reduction for 1 turn.
- Teleport Link: Teleports to the farthest active turret’s position, destroying that turret in the process. Used to escape melee range.
Phase 2 — “Defense Protocol”
Triggers at ≤ 50% HP. Bullet Storm fires 6 bullets. All turrets gain Levitation bullets. Fortify Shell also reflects 50% of incoming damage back to the attacker. Turret limit increases to 5. Turrets auto-deploy every 3 turns if below the cap.
Strategy
Prioritize destroying turrets to reduce incoming bullet spam, but every AP spent on turrets is AP not spent on the boss. Time your burst damage around Fortify Shell — bait it with a weak hit, then commit when the shell is on cooldown. In Phase 2, turret auto-deploy means you can never fully clear them; balance between turret control and boss damage.
